Prayer Response

O God of love and of justice, God of mercy and of grace, deliver us from complacency about our lives and the world in which we live. Empower us to empty ourselves of all that separates us from you and your purposes. Make us sensitive to all that is sacred; shock us with awareness of any violation of human life in which we participate. May our standard be your love empowered by your Spirit. O God, take us as we are and transform us into the people you want us to be. Amen
