Galatians 5, Day 3
Read
Up to this point, Paul has been laying a theological foundation. He now moves to Christian ethics.
Reflect
Paul starts with the right understanding of the Christian message which leads to righteous living as a Christian. He begins with the responsibility of freedom. The responsibility does not provide the opportunity for self-indulgence but leads to the opportunity to serve in love.
Respond
Follow Jesus
You have the freedom to serve in love. Today, focus on responding to God’s love by sharing God’s love with someone you identify as a neighbor. Keep using the responses you identified on Monday to share God’s love. Today, seek to choose an expression of love that you can share with a neighbor.
Pray
Lord Jesus, your love set me free. Help me to embody your love in service to my neighbor today even as you remind me of the freedom I find in being, becoming, and belonging to you. Amen.
Celebrate
