Why we exist

Transforming Mission exists to help church leaders. We help you lead a movement of Jesus followers by focusing on transforming relationships with Christ, the congregation, and your community.

Who we are

Tim Bias and Sara Thomas launched this website in 2015 to share with local church leaders insights and resources that help you build relationships with Christ, the congregation, and your local community.

Tim now serves as the Lead Pastor of Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, WV, after completing 8 years as District Superintendent in the West Ohio. Sara now serves as a Regional Missional Specialist for the West Ohio Conference.  We use this platform to share resources with pastors, local church leaders, and laity in United Methodist Churches.

What you can expect

Podcast

Every Tuesday, a new episode of  the Transforming Mission Podcast is posted. This weekly podcast is a conversation between Sara and Tim. We teach, share stories, pray, and respond to the challenges of local church leadership. And, we do our best to have a sense of humor. Be the first to know when a new episode releases by becoming an Insider.

Blog

Every Wednesday, you’ll find a blog post that offers guidance for leading in this missional time. You’ll see leadership articles, Bible reflections, and invitations to consider God’s leading presence.
