31 Days of Prayer

Day 17

February 12, 2019

Read Colossians 1:27

The secret is simply this: Christ in you! Yes, Christ in you bringing with him the hope of all the glorious things to come”

-Colossians 1:27 (J. B. Phillips)

Today, let us give God praise for the opportunity to be in partnership with God and one another in and through The United Methodist Church.

Prayer for Today:

O Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on us.  Help us become so focused upon you that all we say and do will bring you glory and work for the good of the people you put in our lives today.  Help us become so aware of your presence that we are able to allow you to come through us to the people around us. Help us become so connected to you that our pray today reaches the leaders of our denomination so that they too might claim you as Lord and receive your mercy for the work which lies ahead for them.  Give them clean hearts and clear minds.  Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us!  We offer ourselves to you to be instruments of your love and peace today. Amen

Today’s prayer echoes the Jesus prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. #prayers #church #faith #jesus #transformingmission

A Few Reminders

Thank you for participating in this 31-day prayer journey.  Our journey will include opportunities to read and reflect on the scriptures as we pray specifically for the special General Conference, for the leaders of our denomination, and for the delegates who have represented us.  As we pray together, we will become more who God has created us to be.

You can find the delegates from the West Ohio Conference here.  Let us pray for each of them every day. It will be through our prayers that they become more who God created them to be.

Thank you for taking this journey with us.
