Today, let us give God praise for the opportunity to be in partnership with God and one another in and through The United Methodist Church.
Let us acknowledge our connection to Christ, as the vine, and to one another as branches. The love of God that comes to us in and through the vine is the same love that comes to all the other branches. We are with every person and in every situation as the “presence” of Christ. Think about it. How will God be present in you today? Pray that God will help you be Christ’s presence in every situation and circumstance of the day.
Prayer for Today:
O God, we are grateful for the connection we have with you and the people around us. We are especially grateful for the leaders of our denomination and for those persons who will be representing us at the General Conference. May your presence, wisdom, and love given to us be given to them as well. We offer ourselves to be instruments of your love and peace as we hold our friends and colleagues before you. Bless them and use them as instruments of your peace in the decisions they make in the name of Jesus. Amen
A Few Reminders
Thank you for participating in this 31-day prayer journey. Our journey will include opportunities to read and reflect on the scriptures as we pray specifically for the special General Conference, for the leaders of our denomination, and for the delegates who have represented us. As we pray together, we will become more who God has created us to be.
You can find the delegates from the West Ohio Conference here. Let us pray for each of them every day. It will be through our prayers that they become more who God created them to be.
