31 Days of Prayer

Day 12

February 7, 2019

Read John 17:1-24

As we continue our journey, let us pray with the knowledge that Jesus’ prayers in the past affect us today, and that he continually intercedes for us now.  Believing that Jesus’ prayers are powerful in our lives, let us pray for those who are representing us at the General Conference.

Prayer for Today:

O God, just as Jesus prayed for his disciples, we know he prays for us.  It is with that knowledge that we pray for our church and those who will be representing us at the General Conference.  By your power, make them one.  Let your joy be complete in them and in their decisions.  Make them holy and keep them safe from the evil that seeks to separate them from you and from one another. We offer them to your loving care in the name of Jesus, who continues to pray for them and us.  Amen

Our prayers for joy are met by Jesus who meets us where we are and invites us to journey with him. As we continue to pray for the church and her people, may the power of Jesus' presence fill us with joy. A Few Reminders

Thank you for participating in this 31-day prayer journey.  Our journey will include opportunities to read and reflect on the scriptures as we pray specifically for the special General Conference, for the leaders of our denomination, and for the delegates who have represented us.  As we pray together, we will become more who God has created us to be.

You can find the delegates from the West Ohio Conference here.  Let us pray for each of them every day. It will be through our prayers that they become more who God created them to be.

Thank you for taking this journey with us.
